Carbon Literacy Project training

Reduce climate change and cut your costs

Key reasons for attending CLP training:

  • Get (more) motivated about Climate Change in a day
  • Find out the key ways you can make a difference
  • Drive your business to make positive change (and save costs)
  • Gain Carbon Literacy Certification

About Carbon Literacy Training

CLP training is one of the quickest and easiest ways to get motivated about climate change and work out how we can all make the biggest difference to cutting global emissions.

It’s a one day course (sometimes over two half days), which gives people an in depth view of climate change – where we are now, where we need to be and how we can get there. People have described it as “a GCSE in climate change in a day”.

As part of the training (all courses are certified by the Carbon Literacy Project) each individual makes a commitment to reducing their own carbon footprint and that of their organisation or community.

The Business Benefits

The great thing about CLP training is that many of the changes you and your staff choose, will help your organisation in multiple ways.

From saving costs (eg lower business mileage) to reducing electricity (heating, lighting, and equipment), thinking more sustainably provides a host of benefits.

It’s great for motivating and retaining employees, building customer loyalty, developing competitive advantage, attracting new customers, strengthening your supply chains and supporting investment.

Anyone looking at your business from a financial standpoint will see you’ve thought through long-term and short-term risks, and are maximising opportunities to work sustainably too.

About our CLP training

What will I learn?

Lead with Sustainability offers fully certified and award winning Carbon Literacy Project training courses, which as well as providing general information about climate change also have particular focus on the automotive, transport and built environment sectors.

To gain certification, individuals must carry out pre-course homework, take part in a full day’s training, and submit a pledge towards reducing your personal and business/community carbon emissions. Check out the course contents for what is included.
