Introduction
At Lead With Sustainability, we value your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you contact us through our website or by email. We do not use your data for marketing purposes, nor do we sell it to third parties.
1. Data We Collect
We only collect information that you voluntarily provide to us via our contact form or email, which typically includes:
- Name
- Email Address
- Job Title
- Organisation
- The contents of your inquiry
- Following training, any personal information you may include on your evidence form.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use this information strictly for the purpose of responding to your specific query, reviewing our performance or for processing your Carbon Literacy certification. Under the GDPR, our “lawful basis” for processing this data is Legitimate Interests (to provide the information or service you requested or to learn and adapt our services from your feedback).
We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If we wish to use your personal information for an alternative purpose, we will let you know and either explain the legal basis or request your additional permission for doing so.
3. Data Retention
We keep your inquiry details only as long as necessary to resolve your request or to comply with legal record-keeping obligations (e.g., if our conversation leads to a business contract). Generally, inactive inquiries are deleted after 12 months. Carbon Literacy Project evidence for certification purposes is kept until you request we delete it.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only processed by ourselves for the purposes listed above, our website host and email provider, strictly in delivering your message to us.
If you are attending one of our Carbon Literacy Project training courses, we will share your details with the suite of Google Meet/Workspace products for the purpose of accessing and completing our training.
5. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your data (“Right to be Forgotten”).
- Correct any inaccurate information. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the Contact Us form
